{"id":1063,"date":"2014-05-21T17:08:39","date_gmt":"2014-05-21T23:08:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blt.homenet.org\/wordpress\/?p=1063"},"modified":"2017-08-07T23:10:46","modified_gmt":"2017-08-08T05:10:46","slug":"mash-paddle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bt.beerprojects.com\/wordpress\/?p=1063","title":{"rendered":"Mash Paddle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I created my mash paddle with some help from my father-in-law, Bob, to get me <a title=\"All Grain Upgrade Plan\" href=\"http:\/\/bt.beerprojects.com\/wordpress\/?p=945\" target=\"_blank\">upgraded for all grain brewing<\/a>. Bob gave me a very nice piece of <a title=\"Lenga Wood\" href=\"http:\/\/woodexportchile.com\/wood-species\/lenga-wood\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lenga <\/a>(aka fireland cherry) wood from Chile to make the paddle out of. We were able to quickly cut out a paddle shape and drill out some holes one afternoon. Then in another afternoon I used a dremel and rounded out all the edges. Followed by some good old hand sanding with 60 and 200 grit sand paper. It isn&#8217;t the fanciest of paddles, but should work out for be great.
